Privacy & local storage.
What the site code stores, what it does not collect, and where external services enter the picture.
The site at a glance
MoviePass.org is an account-free static editorial website. The site does not include analytics tags, advertising trackers, data-entry forms, newsletter collection, or a first-party cookie system. Reading pages does not require creating a profile. Hosting infrastructure and external services may process connection information separately from these features.
Browser-saved watchlists
When you bookmark a film, its identifier is stored in localStorage in your browser under the key moviepass-watchlist-v1. The list is not sent to a MoviePass.org application server. It is not synchronized across devices or browsers. Removing a bookmark updates the local list; clearing this website’s browser data removes it. Private browsing or storage restrictions can prevent persistence.
Trivia scores
Quiz answers and the score exist in the current page’s JavaScript memory. They are not submitted to us or saved as a reader profile. Reloading the page starts a new session. The site does not claim to maintain a public scoreboard or compare your answers with other players.
Email correspondence
The contact address opens your chosen email application through a mailto link. Sending a message is a separate action performed through your email provider. Include only the information needed for the inquiry. Do not send passwords, payment details, ticket barcodes, or private account information. MoviePass.org is not the support channel for the MoviePass subscription service or any ticket provider.
Fonts and external websites
The pages request the Bebas Neue and DM Sans stylesheets through Google Fonts. Your browser therefore makes requests to Google’s font infrastructure; standard connection information may be visible to that provider. System font fallbacks keep text readable when external fonts do not load. All site image assets are served locally with the website.
Links to film sources, cinemas, and booking providers take you to separate websites. Those services have their own data practices, terms, and account systems. MoviePass.org does not receive the information you enter into their checkout or account flows through any integration in this site.
Hosting infrastructure
Your browser connects to the website’s host to request pages and assets. Infrastructure providers may maintain access logs or security records separately from the site’s reader features. The information retained, and how long it is kept, depends on the hosting configuration. Contact us with a question about the distinction between local browser storage and hosting records.
